Speak Easily?

I caught sight of a DVD of the 1932 talkie _Speak Easily_ that Buster did with Durante. Is it any good or is it something only for the completest?

    I haven't seen speak easily. There is, however, another talkie that was released on dvd, included in another set, I think it's call the complete buster keaton, or something like that, that has an hour talkie of him making a coat. Wonderful.
    Unfortunately, so many of his films were lost that having a complete set now doesn't mean that much. I really think he is a genius no matter what, so check it out and see,
    let us know,
    I'll look for it here too.
    r.

      Sorry to have gotten to this topic so late, but I've just joined!

      "Speak Easily" is, I think, easily the best of the much-maligned films Buster did with Durante. Thelma Todd's presence doesn't hurt, either! It's certainly worth checking out.

    I just joined so sorry for the lateness of this post. Speak Easily has its moments, but is more for completists. Teaming minimalist Buster with the over the top punning Durante wasn't the brightest idea. It's more or less on a par with What! No Beer? if that tells you anything.

      Since I first posted my question, I've seen several of the films Buster did at MGM-- including onces with Durante. There are always moments, but far too often I am cringing until those moments arrive. Buster was probably cringing as well.
